Here is a shot from my private photos stash! Since I’ve been ask, I wanted to show you guys a little of what my workflow for post processing looks like with this photo of Jason (former pro) at the skate park. Not exactly a tutorial just a behind the scenes kind of thing!

This is the original photo, straight from the camera. As you can see it’s not the most exciting photo but we’ll fix that!

First thing I do is take out the the horrible pine trees that just crowd the photo and take the focus away from the Jason. Next thing I did was obviously give Jason some more air….. now he can do this just fine by himself but I missed this one (tisk tisk) so I’ll put’em in the sky!

Once I’ve got the photo where I want it I’ll create a little drama and give the sky some nice tones by using some photo filters with the colors being blue and a green like color. And last add some contrast where it deserves.

Alright check out my layers…..as you can see I have all my original stuff at the top just in case I screw up and need to revert and also get a quick look at the before and after when necessary. Now if you don’t know by now I love incorporating strong graphics in my work whether it be done in photoshop or in the actual environment before the shutter goes off! In this particular photo I wanted to keep it simple with a gradating tail for the board and a set of ribbon like lines! Throw in a paint platter…and I think I’ll call it a day!
